It was commissioned by Sir Lawrence Palk and designed
by brothers William & John Harvey. The Crescent
was named after Sir Lawrence's wife, Maria Hesketh,
and was originally built as fifteen private houses.
Many notable families stayed at the Crescent during

from the centre of Falmouth town, in a landscaped conservation
site of 16 acres, our cottage offers flexible accommodation
for up to 6 people. A traditional style Cornish Cottage,
but built in 2004 with modern materials, there are 2
double bedrooms (one with an en-suite bathroom) and
the third bedroom has two single beds that can be combined
to form a king-size. The cottage holds an ETC (English
Tourism Council) 4 Star rating.
Set in a wooded valley, the
site offers peace and tranquillity, whilst being a great
area for children to explore. Pendra Loweth - Cornish
for "Village of Gardens" - is beautifully
landscaped, holding the David Bellamy Gold Conservation
Award. On-site facilities include a café/bar,
a laundry, an indoor plunge pool and Jacuzzi, an exercise/training
room, three tennis courts and a children’s play
